Ignore the bad or conflicting reviews!
I see a lot of bad or conflicting reviews on the stand, I don’t really understand because this thing is super sturdy and heavy. Works perfectly for what I use it for on my desk. The base of super heavy cast iron, not wobbly in the least bit. The boom and the riser itself are very well-made, and can support the weight of my microphone just fine! It’s super versatile and adjustable, and could be used for multiple things such as streaming mics, drum mics, instrument mics, or amp mics. I would highly recommend this if you need a budget mic stand for any of these applications!

Workable light-duty mike stands
I own several Tama heavy-duty mike stands and like them a lot, but they now cost in the neighborhood of $100 each. I needed two stands, so I ordered two of these knowing that they would not be anywhere near as solid/heavy as my two Tamas, but the price was certainly attractive. They are exactly as advertised and will work for me now that I don't play out very often. If you're looking for lightweight, light-duty, indoor mike stands, give these a try. If your gear will be handled by heavy-handed roadies and needs to be heavy-duty, these are not for you. I feel like I got exactly what I paid for.

Affordable and practical
I just got mine today. It’s good for home use but not for live settings. It’s a bit flimsy. I do like the knob to adjust the angle of the boom arm. I would recommend if your trying to save a few dollars but not for live settings.

Cheap and flimsy
I bought this mic stand to go in my home recording studio. When I got it, everything looked good and went together easily. When I put it together and placed my mic on it, I could tell it was a mistake... It seems like this mic stand won't hold anything over 1 pound in weight. My mic isn't that heavy, but the stand just kept sagging at the joint and tipping over. I decided to deal with it by weighing down the tripod. It worked fine for a couple of months, but I was constantly adjusting it because it would start to sag over time. One day I walked into my studio to lay down a track and I saw my very expensive microphone laying on the floor because the stand had literally broken in half! Needless to say I was EXTREMELY upset at this. Luckily my mic was ok, but it could have been a disaster. Don't even waste your time on this product! I only owned it for 3 months and sparingly used it, and it broke. It didn't break because of misuse or an accident... It broke doing what it's supposedly supposed to be able to do: holding a microphone up. That means it's a very cheaply made product! If you plan on keeping your stand for a while, and you value your microphone, pay the extra money and get something that's going to last!

Works best with handheld dynamic microphones.
Seems to be a good stand so far. Unfortunately, when I attempted to move one of the cable clips it snapped in half. I had only unboxed the stand about 10 minutes prior, so that was a bit of a letdown. Apart from that, the stand itself seems to be of good quality with lots of adjustment options. For the price I picked it up for (just under $20), I'd say it's a pretty good deal. I will say that the arm of the stand doesn't seem exceedingly supportive and I'm curious to see if it will actually hold my condenser microphone. Time will tell and I will likely update the review when I have had more time with the stand. I'm largely writing this review to redeem the extended warranty policy from Pyle. Update: The stand is still passable, however it does not fulfill the need that I originally needed it to. If you need a vocal mic stand that will fit your typical SM-58 style dynamic mic, this stand will almost certainly do the trick. I ordered it with the intention of using a medium diaphragm condenser microphone (AKG P120 for reference), but its plastics and hardware aren't strong enough to support the microphone over a distance greater than maybe 8 inches. If you plan to use a microphone that is pushing much above 3/4lbs. and having it any orientation apart from perpendicular to the floor, you may have problems, I certainly did. If you just need a stand for a handheld dynamic vocal mic, you'll probably be fine.

Solid hold and easy to use.
This microphone stand is the ultimate sidekick for any performer! It's got a solid hold on the mic, and the ease of use is just fantastic.

Ligero y manejable
It's an easy-to-use product, easy to assemble, lightweight, and adjustable in size. It has been very useful for my microphone, and being adjustable makes it easy to use for vocals or instruments, whether standing or sitting.

Cheap POS but ok in a pinch if you can’t find anything else
I bought this because my local stores are all out of stock of decent mic stands. Shipping was fast and it came undamaged. There is zero setup necessary. Just pulled the thing straight out of the box, attached boom arm and that was it. Unfortunately because it’s extremely lightweight it’s not possible to extend the boom arm out with my condenser mic attached. Regardless of how tightly I turn the knob on the boom arm, it inevitably starts to fall down. If you don’t position the tripod legs perfectly (with 1 leg directly underneath your mic) the weight of your mic will cause the stand to fall, potentially damaging your mic. It works fine if you stand it up straight and extend the arm upwards but if you intend to use it to record whilst sitting down, particular with a heavier mic, you’ll need to make some mods and adjustments for it to be useable. I suggest a counterweight of some kind. Just a bag with some random stuff in it will do. It’ll look ugly but it works. Lastly it comes with a European size thread on the end but the mic holder has a plastic adapter insert. It’s not ideal as any mic will probably destroy the soft plastic thread but on the bright side it’s better than nothing I guess. If I hadn’t thrown away the box I would have probably returned this but for now it’s being used to hold an MXL 990 complete with ugly bag of flour hanging off the back of the boom arm.

Stable and compact ! Perfect !

Impossible to tighten the boom-bar tight enough to hold a mike at much of an angle. Therefore, can't have mike in front of face when working on a keyboard. Waste of money.

This is an awesome microphone stand with black metallic finish. It feels very solid and strong and stylish too. I have been using it from past 3 months , its working perfectly. A must buy..

Inferior quility, horrible finishing, poor material very delicate. Basically a total rip-off for what what one gets after paying so much. In a nut shell u would feel cheated. Also the picture size and the real unit are two different sizes.
